SYJ Centering with Sarah | 7 minutes: The Courage to Show Up

SYJ Centerings are tenets to our practice here at Saraswati's. Live classes often begin with a shorter guided meditation, poetry, or words of contemplation to ground in the breath and begin the conversation with your body and spirit. Do this anytime during the day to take a moment to reflect and center.
Sarah calls on the words of John Lewis to help guide you with a centering meant to remind you of the courage, strength, and resilience we all hold. Through breathwork and the release of feelings and thoughts that separate us from love, truth and the poetry of a life well lived you will feel the grace of showing up.
Why do this:
Everyday life can be filled with tension and stress, at SYJ we meditate because we believe that your life is worthy of a deeper and more meaningful conversation. A conversation with your inner landscape and a deeper connection to the essence of you and not the anxious debilitating thoughts and narratives that keep us from experiencing a life deeply seated in presence. We meditate so that we may know more about the gift of our own embodiment.
We meditate to quite our minds so that we find spaciousness and in that spaciousness we learn to trust the wisdom that lies within. It’s kind of like unearthing a jewel that’s been hidden inside yourself.
